19th Century French Napoleon III Period Walnut Vaisselier ~ Buffet is a remarkable work of the cabinetmaker's art!  Only select, blonde French walnut was used which creates a lovely warm, luxurious appearance.  The base consists of a spacious two door buffet with a pair of drawers, carved with large foliate rosettes surrounded by intriguing molded detail on the cabinet doors, and subtle shell carvings on the drawers, with both elements enhanced by finely cast brass bale pulls and key guards.  Above the surface appears a pair of shelves with gallery rails flanked by finely turned columns with urn bases.  Atop the entire affair appears the uppermost shelf supported by corbels and presided over by an elegant floral centerpiece with laurel swags and finely molded scrollwork with urn finials.
