19th Century French Renaissance Revival Armoire ~ Wardrobe is a feast for the eyes, indeed!  From the bold, multi-tiered crown molding to the bun feet below, it is a work of the cabinetmaker's art.  The crown is centered by a stylized lion's head overlooking the full length cabinet doors below.  Each door is a work of the sculptor's hand, depicting urns bursting with flowers surrounded by elaborate stylized forms and foliate relief work.  The square lower panels feature lions' heads surrounded by acanthus leaf and ribbon motifs.  The doors are framed by intricately turned and carved full length columns, and open to reveal surfaces and a hanging rod.  Below appears a full width drawer, also centered with a lion's head flanked by foliate designs in bold relief, providing the perfect finishing touch to the visual appeal.
