19th Century French Renaissance Barley Twist Armoire was crafted by master artisans from solid, old-growth indigenous oak during the late Napoleon III Period, and features a heraldic crest flanked by gryffins atop the crown, which features its own carving of a fierce lion's head surrounded by foliates.  Abundant hand-carved molding appears in the design from top to bottom.  Two urn finials flank the crown, and are positioned over full length barley twist columns that extend all the way down to the bottom of the door.  The door is fitted with its original mirror below which is another exquisitely carved panel.  Below all that lies the base with its repeating vertical rosettes on each corner providing a framework for the exquisite relief carving on the full width drawer centered with another fierce lion's head.  The door opens to reveal a nicely spacious interior fitted with three original adjustable shelves, ready to accommodate your every whim.
