19th Century French Renaissance Revival Corner Cabinet ~ Confiturier is a splendid choice to decorate an otherwise unused corner, and do it with style and flair! The raised shelf is supported by elegantly scrolled side panels with carved corbel designs at the base and a shell at the top. The shelf overlooks the pie-shaped surface which is great for small display vignettes or serving special items. Under the fully gadrooned edge is a full width drawer that is carved with an heraldic crest flanked by foliate scrolls, with rosettes on each edge. The drawer overlooks the double door cabinet below, with sculpture in bold relief depicting the results of an upland hunt but with each carving a unique interpretation, both framed with demilune fletching in the bordering. A brace of tapered, fluted and carved columns frames the doors, leading the eye down to the boldly gardrooned base. Doors and drawer open to reveal surprising storage in the bargain! Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth oak to last for centuries.
