19th Century French Renaissance Revival Corner Cabinet represents a glorification of nature and the beauty all around us which at the time was fervently attributed to our creator.  This example tucks into a corner, an otherwise unused portion of the room, creating not only a visual feast but a convenient place to store and display a few family heirlooms for all to appreciate!  Hand-crafted and carved from select old-growth oak, it features an arched crown with foliates overlooking three surfaces, each with gadrooned edges and supported by exquisitely carved side panels.  The cabinet consists of a pie-shaped drawer that rotates out when needed, just like the curved door panel below festooned with a full relief depiction of a bird in the wild feasting on wild oats.  The drawer is festooned with bas relief and fitted with a pendant pull, and flanked by rosettes that appear over two full column supports that are tapered, fluted and carved to adequately frame the sculptural work of the door.  Multiple tiers of molding abound throughout the design, especially at the base which is fitted with bun feet.
