19th Century French Renaissance Buffet in Stripped Oak is a magnificent example of the genre, executed on a diminutive scale making it perfect for a cozy spot, a work space, or any efficient floor plan. Hand-crafted from dense, old-growth oak, it features a neoclassical architecture embellished with sculpture inspired by the Renaissance. A gadrooned edge all around overlooks the full width drawer, which is framed by pyramidal blocks and carved with beautifully stylized foliate motifs, centered with a floral rosette fitted with a pendant pull. The drawer pulls out to reveal a covered interior, making this selection good as an argentier or silver chest. The cabinet doors below, however, steal the show! Majestic lions' heads in bold full relief are surrounded by foliate designs and a full frame, with the center stile attached to one door allowing unimpeded access to the surprisingly spacious interior. The doors are framed by corners lavished with more foliate designs and another pyramidal block. Acanthus bordering around the pedestal style base completes the look.
