Pair 18th Century Carved Wood Angels are a remarkable work of devotion, with a serene countenance imparted by the sculptor onto the faces of both angels. One, with wings outspread, gestures as if speaking to the other, whose wings are folded. The angels appear on puffs of clouds, with turned wood bases. Remnants of the original finish are still evident.
