Pair Antique Country French Nightstands will make great bedside companions, but since they're finished all around, work just as well as accompaniments in a seating group, or beside a sofa.  Hand-crafted from solid, dense, hand-select oak, each features a beveled plank top, chamfered side panels, a finely molded drawer and scrolled raised panel on the doors.  The doors are hung with outboard steel barrel hinges matching the steel drawer knobs and key guards, allowing the doors to open wide for easy access.  The scrolled apron below is carved with a flower in a rosette configuration flanked by foliate sprays, with the entire apron framed by scrolled legs carved with acanthus plumes and escargot feet.  Note the pegged mortise & tenon construction.  Even the back side is crafted with solid oak chamfered into the framework as a technique only the best cabinetmakers would use.
