19th Century French Renaissance Marble Top Nightstand ~ End Table is a wonderful variation on the form, with an open airy design that enables it to blend seamlessly into any seating group, serve as a pedestal even in small niches, and perform yeoman's duty as a bedside companion!  Hand-crafted from solid old-growth oak, it features finish on all four sides, making it capable of center of the room placement.  Luxurious, carefree marble on top is surrounded by a hand-carved edging, under which appears a single drawer accented with carved detail, fitted with a lion's head pull and flanked by acanthus rosettes.  Two tiers of barley twist columns provide support for the top, a middle shelf, and a lower shelf which is also framed all around by finely carved molding.
