Louis Philippe Style Sideboard in Antique Black is a wonderful re-creation of the style that first appeared almost 200 years ago in France, inspired by the tailored architecture favored by the last of the Bourbon dynasty monarchs, Louis Philippe 1.  The rectilinear casework is enhanced by subtle serpentine forms on the upper tier which contains a pair of cleverly concealed drawers accessed with hidden finger grooves.  The cabinet doors below, hung on decorative steel strap hinges, swing wide to allow unhindered access to the four compartments within.  An external steel bar latch with decorative handle adds visual appeal.  The curvature of the feet below mimics the aforementioned serpentine top, with an antique, slightly distressed black painted finish all around except on the top, which exhibits a distressed natural finish for an intriguing two-toned effect.  Ideal for the tailored decor, it can serve in an office, dining room, or as the perfect platform for a large flat panel TV!
