Rustic Antique Swedish Step Ladder is a reminder of a bygone era, long before the days of Home Depot and Ace Hardware! When one lived out in a rural area and needed a ladder, one simply made one out of local materials! Two sturdy, straight branches of oak were employed, with hand-turned and fitted dowels serving as the rungs. A couple of the dowels are mortised completely through, with one decorative rung just because it was stylish! A little paint is visible at the top indicating decades of use, only adding to the character. Perfect as a charming decorative rustic accent.
