Antique French Louis XV Bombe Marble Top Commode features the classic French form that dates back to the Baroque period of the 17th century.  Curvaceous cornerposts appear on all four corners with the front ones lavished with intricate cast bronze mounts on the shoulders and feet.  They provide a framework for the main facade which is comprised of two spacious full-width drawers and an artfully scrolled apron, all adorned with cast bronze pulls, key guards and a decorative mount.  The sides and front are finished in luxuriously grained select French walnut and exotic imported mahogany for an opulent effect, complemented by the Sienna marble on top which was carefully contoured and beveled to follow the complex contours of the casework below.
