Antique French Louis XIV Commode ~ Chest of Drawers was fashioned from select oak, and designed with an arbalette facade which, when viewed from above, resembles the shape of an archer's bow. The top is contoured and beveled to follow the luxurious curvatures of the casework below, and features tailored side panels with bold base molding. The facade consists of three spacious drawers, with serpentine corner posts carved with shell, floral, scroll work and foliate motifs leading the eye down to the scrolled, carved and contoured feet. Each drawer is adorned with three molded panels with scroll work and stylized shell carvings, then fitted with boldly crafted brass bale pulls. Ideal as a style statement, it is also capable of storing a considerable quantity of any of your personal items and clothing.
