19th Century French Louis XV Walnut Marble Top Commode is a rare find indeed! Artfully hand-crafted from sumptuous select French walnut, it features a subtle bowed front that is lavished with asymmetrical carvings of natural forms including foliates and florals interspersed with the contoured and raised paneling of the facade. A pair of cast bronze pulls of an intricate Rococo design on each drawer are centered with a cast bronze key guard. The apron is a study in the style, with an intriguing design in full relief that must be studied closely to be fully appreciated. A pair of boldly scrolled and carved legs flank the carving of the apron for splendid support. The top has been graced with beautifully veined 2cm marble that has been beveled and contoured to follow the lines of the casework below to create the perfect finishing touch!
