19th Century French Louis XIV Marble Top Commode with Marquetry features timeless French flair with bronze d’ore pulls and key-guards combined with serpentine sides!  Original rouge marble was contoured and beveled to follow the casework below, and is accentuated by the intricacy of the bold, exquisitely cast bronze hardware and decorative mounts.  The bronze mounts add to the luxurious feeling because of the excellent inherent quality and the patina that is the result of over a century of aging.  All of the hardware possesses the sensuous lines of the rococo with the organic quality of nature translated into a fixed depiction.  the rounded cornerposts are fluted, with gold highlighting the flutes as well as the horizontal flutes that define the drawer spaces.  Crafted from oriented and meticulously placed exotic mahogany veneers for a superlative visual presence when viewed from any angle!
