19th Century French Louis Philippe Period Burl Walnut Commode features the tailored lines and understated elegance of the breed, which has endeared the style to all sorts of interior design applications for centuries! The rectilinear casework is softened somewhat by the serpentine uppermost tier which houses the uppermost full width drawer. Similar scroll shapes appear in the corbel style feet below, otherwise the lines are straight in all dimensions. What is most captivating about this particular example is the sumptuous bookmatched burl veneer on the drawer fronts, and the richly grained solid walnut side panels and top all combining to create a timeless look you can enjoy in any room with most any style. Four drawers mean there's lots of storage which only adds to its allure. The original "sandwich" marble top adds class and a carefree aspect with a neutral gray and white color palette.
