Antique French Louis XVI Marble Top Buffet is a timeless rendition of the classical style that dates back to ancient Greece and Rome!  King Louis XVI was fond of the neoclassical look and it became exponentially more pervasive during his reign.  This example features a three door design, although it's barely 4 feet wide, making it ideal for cozy niches or special places in a room.  This will really come in handy if you need a pair of such pieces, which is available at the time of this writing, of course if you act fast!  Starting with the exquisitely veined marble top which is subtly contoured to follow the nuanced step front center cabinet door, fine molding transitions the marble to the top of the casework where one finds three convenient and surprisingly spacious drawers, all framed in fine molding and fitted with cast brass bale pulls with finely designed guards.  The two lower outermost cabinets under the drawers feature more molding detail framing the carved intertwined laurel swags tied with ribbon.  The side doors provide a framework for the center door which is lavished with a laurel wreath with drapery swags, ribbon, a d floral spray with tassels, all in fine relief.  A classically styled apron with turned legs provides support.
