Antique French Empire Mahogany Buffet ~ Credenza with Slate Top combines classical architecture with embellishments inspired by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans to create a truly timeless expression of the furniture maker's art!  Utilizing mahogany veneers to create intriguing grain patterns across the facade, it has been enhanced with cast brass wreath designs at the top of each corner under which appears the bust of a regal woman, with a diagonal pilaster leading the eye down to the pair of brass feet below, which rest atop the wraparound base board with brass trim.  Four spacious drawers across the top overlook four cabinet doors which open to reveal amazing storage with adjustable shelves, and when closed, are highlighted with a cast brass wreath split between the two center doors.  A pair of slate blocks serve as feet below, but the eye catching top surface consists of a thick slab of charcoal gray slate providing an elegant and carefree serving and display surface.
