19th Century French Neoclassical Henri II Marble Top Walnut Buffet will make a great addition to any room, for a wide variety of purposes, and do it in style! The luxuriously veined marble top catches the eye immediately, providing a carefree yet elegant surface. It's framed by fine molding under which appears the drawer tier, with two highly figured drawer facades framed by three corbels carved with fletching, and accented with cast bronze bale pulls. The drawer tier appears to be suspended over the cabinets below by two tapered and fluted columns, one on each corner, which also frame the cabinet doors. The doors open wide to allow unfettered access, and are adorned with boldly raised panels carved with neoclassical motifs. The casework is suspended above a full width lower shelf by another pair of tapered and turned columns, with bold molding and bun feet finishing the look. Hand-crafted from fine French walnut to provide enjoyment for decades to come!
