19th Century French Renaissance Stripped Library Table
Location: Dallas
19th Century French Renaissance Stripped Library Table is a remarkable example of the furniture maker's art! Hand-carved from dense, old-growth white oak, it features elaborate relief detail around the entire apron, punctuated by lions' heads on each mitered corner. Each side is beautifully carved so that it can be placed anywhere in the room, especially in the center for all to appreciate its artistry. Support is provided by four massive urn pediments, each set upon an "H" structure embellished with dolphin motifs forming each of the four legs. Even the trestle is carved with acanthus plumes for a remarkable example of the beauty of a bygone era!
