19th Century French Louis XVI Walnut End Table ~ Library Table is an endearing design, providing maximum table surface with a minimal footprint on the floor, and gracefully rounded ends so no corners are presented into the traffic patterns of the room. Crafted from fine walnut, it features a beveled top above a tailored apron which is adorned with centered framed panels with beading, fluting and foliate scrolls hanging underneath, repeated on all four sides such that the table can be placed in the middle of the room if so desired. Rectangular rosettes define the perimeters of each apron section, and appear over the tapered and fluted legs carved with upturned lotus blossoms just above the double lyre stretchers which connect with a roundel topped with an acanthus rosette. Understated elegance at its finest!
