19th Century French Louis XV Hand-Carved Walnut End Table is part of a fast-disappearing genre of fine antique furnishings from the Continent that are getting harder to find with each passing day!  Hand-crafted from fine French walnut, large posts were used to craft the gracefully scrolled cabriole legs, with thick aprons featuring carving directly into the apron, not applied like modern furniture.  Stylized shell and foliate motifs dominate the embellishment, with escargot tips on the feet for a classically French touch!
