18th Century Swedish Varmland Stockholm Bench ~ End Table ca. 1760s is a charming example of a bygone era, when clever rural craftsmen created dual purpose furnishings for modest homes with a bustling family, built to withstand the ravages of multiple generations of children and still stand strong!  This example doubles as a chair when needed, or an end table when one's requirements change.  Hand-crafted from old growth oak to last for centuries!  The Värmland is a natural wonderland stretching across central-west Sweden, spanning rolling hills and deep forest, and boasting some 10,000 lakes.  As expected, there are rich farmlands in the county as well, but the modest rural homes necessitated efficient furniture like this convertible gem!
