Antique Hand-Painted Earthenware Jug was hand-thrown from local clays then given a glaze on top of which cobalt blue was deftly hand-painted to create a stylized naturalistic theme. Natural corks were used as stoppers, and such vessels were used to contain a wide variety of comestibles.
