Antique Country French Louis XIV Commode in Stripped Oak is of an interesting size, and certainly makes a fine style statement for a wonderful complement to almost any decor.  Hand-crafted from solid oak, it features a generously sized top and tailored architecture that is enhanced by subtle curves on the apron below, supported by scrolled legs.  Only a subtle scroll on the side aprons departs from the tailored, neoclassical architecture.  The drawer facade, however, is another story!  Three huge drawers with spacious interiors are lavished with bas relief carvings all across each front, with a finely scrolled molding framework accented with bell flowers right and left, pointing to the cross-hatched crest with foliates serving as the centerpiece.  Cast brass bale pulls and key guards provide the finishing touch. Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
