Early 19th Century Country French Whitewashed Buffet is an example of the restrained expression of the style, with tailored scrollwork defining the molded detail across the drawer tier and the tops of the cabinet directly underneath. An undulating apron at the bottom provides balance to the design, with scrolled legs in front for support that are integral to the mitered cornerposts upon which the cabinet doors are mounted with exterior brass hinges. Brass key guards and drawer pulls complete the hardware ensemble. The sheer natural beauty of the wood is still evident thanks to our proprietary whitewashing process, retaining all the charm yet providing a soft, textured appearance for your decor. Doors and drawers open to reveal capacious storage, with a solid plank top perfect for display or serving. Note the rough-hewn solid planks on the back, affixed with pegged mortise & tenon joinery.
