19th Century Country French Buffet ~ Linen Press was designed to provide all the storage space needed by a large family for all their linens and flatware needed for setting a grand table! Hand-crafted entirely from quarter-sawn oak and cast brass, it features a solid plank beveled surface for display and serving, with no less than three top drawers and three bin-size drawers all of which are fitted with cast brass key guards or bale pulls with guards. Those with key guards, like the cabinet doors, require a key (supplied) to use as a pull. Such a design creates a clean look so favored by the French. The cabinet doors are hung with brass barrel hinges, and feature the only fancy molding with a bold scrollwork in the upper frame. A straight baseboard and bun feet complete the exterior visual appointments. Open the drawers and doors to reveal a voluminous storage capacity which you'll really come to appreciate. Nobody can have TOO much storage, right? Note the hand-hewn chamfered solid planks on the back side.
