on the corner of Oak Lawn and Dragon Street, just 3 blocks from the World Trade Center
Convenient to the Design Industry, yet open to the general public, this sprawling 25,000 square foot facility is an interesting combination of warehouse and showroom. Just two blocks from I-35 (locally known as the Stemmons Freeway), it boasts five distinct showroom areas designed for ease of viewing.
One area, devoted to architectural antiques, covers the gamut from doors to stairs, shutters to spires, stained glass to arches, windows to wrought iron panels ~ the list is long! Other areas highlight the dizzying array of antique furnishings and objets d'art from several periods and encompassing the entire spectrum of European classic design.
There's a selection for any taste in rustic, gothic, renaissance, baroque, provincial, and neo-classic. In addition, our expert team of professional restoration and customization artisans operate at this location, and visitors can actually see the works in progress. Although Inessa and John hand-pick each item, the merchandise is still thoroughly inspected, one piece at a time, and all adjustments, repairs and restoration are performed in-house to ensure maximum value retention. Some of the work includes customizations to allow the 18th and 19th century antiques to perform functions desirable in the 21st century, such as entertainment centers, computer workstations, wine bars, display cases and more. We even specialize in making beds from the last century able to accommodate modern Queen and King mattresses.
The Dallas Design District showroom of Inessa Stewart's Antiques is open Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. The area is also home to a multitude of interior and exterior design oriented businesses so that our clientele can easily find everything they need to ensure a successful project of any size or scope!
