19th Century French Renaissance Library Table was designed for a grand home or a spacious office, providing an ample surface serving a variety of potential purposes.  Usually placed towards the center of the room, the design is carved around all four sides, and each corner is boldly mitered making this table very traffic friendly even though it has a substantial surface.  Underneath the solid plank top is a gadrooned edge under which the apron is fully carved, with full relief lions' heads perched on each corner.  Under each lion are four finely turned and hand-carved legs which are in turn joined all around with finely turned stretchers.  An excellent choice for a distinctive Old World look!
