19th Century French Louis XVI Oval Center Table ~ Library Table is a masterwork of the classical style! Crafted from fine French walnut, it features a generously sized oval top trimmed in demilune bordering all around, with an apron below also carved with a variation of Greek coin with alternating round and oval rosettes all around, interrupted only by the rectangular rosettes on the plinth blocks that connect to the elegantly turned legs. The legs are joined below with smaller plinth blocks, again carved with rosettes, that create a juncture for the "X" shaped stretcher which consists of stretchers turned in the same manner as the legs, centered with a turned finial. Perfect for placement in any room, it was originally designed as an entryway piece, or for the center of a library, and presents no corners whatsoever in the design making it the most traffic friendly table you'll own!
