Antique Italian Walnut Corner Cabinet was painstakingly hand-crafted by the master artisans of the Piemonte region, where a unique style has developed over the centuries, combining a casual rural look with just the essence of the Baroque styling for a unique presence. The door to the cabinet was made during the late 1700s, and was repurposed sometime in the early 1900s to serve in the corner. Three framed panels all rendered in local walnut are carved with intriguing naturalistic molding and patterns indigenous to the region. Each panel features a four sided central motif with raised & carved embellishments surrounding each corner and conforming to the shape of the central element. Door opens wide thanks to the externally mounted steel hinges, and reveals a fully painted interior and four shelves for five surfaces total, with the shelves mounted on brackets that can be adjusted for height. An excellent choice for utilizing what is normally "dead" space in a room!
