Antique Italian Neoclassical Giltwood QUEEN Bed is a study in timeless style by one of the original sources for classic design!  Utilizing broad radius curvatures on the headboard in a vertical orientation combined with broad radius curves on the footboard in a horizontal orientation, the frame creates a look that is both grand and restrained at the same time.  Greek coin motif pervades the design, wrapping all around the headboard, down the rails and continuing across the curved footboard, interrupted only by the feet which are designed to resemble urns with rosettes atop pedestals, all beautifully carved and highlighted with the gold finish to create a luxurious effect.  Painstakingly extended to accommodate a Queen size mattress set, the frame could even accommodate a king size set if you don't mind a little bit of overhang on each side.  Fabric was very high quality but shows its age and should be reupholstered.
