Pair Antique French Louis XVI Bronze Wall Sconces are cast in solid bronze, and each has achieved the beginnings of a lovely patina.  The detail is pervasive and extensive, with florals, foliates, grape clusters and shells.  Each realistic candlesleeve cover appears over candelabra sized sockets, newly wired to US Standards, and set upon gracefully scrolled and embellished arms which flank the oval beveled mirrors at the center.  The design was originally conceived to amplify the light from candles which were precious in days of old.  One must examine this lovely pair closely to fully appreciate their amazing artistry!
