19th Century French Louis XVI Walnut Buffet ~ Sideboard is a marvelous testament to the talents of true artists in the world of cabinetmaking!  Hand-crafted from sumptuous French walnut, it features a solid plank beveled top over a drawer tier defined by laurel motifs on the drawer facades flanked by rosettes on each corner, with the original brass medallion bale pulls that match the cabinet door key guards below.  The doors are works of art, with laurel swags, flowing ribbon tied in a bow, and an oval floral rosette in bold relief draped with cascading floral sprays, with another floral garland at the bottom of the work.  Banded wheat is represented on the rounded corner posts, with simple fluting on the apron to complete the look.  Doors open wide to reveal two full width shelves, with the upper only 1/3 depth for cups and the like.  Doors open wide thanks to the outboard mounted brass barrel hinges.  An ideal size for an efficient yet stylish room!
