Antique French Louis XVI Walnut Trumeau ~ Mirror is a magnificent expression of the neoclassical revival style that has remained in vogue for over two thousand years!  Starting at the top with the gracefully arched boldly molded crown, the centerpiece is a lavishly sculpted basket of flowers.  The crown overlooks the upper panel which consists of a tailored framework around a raised panel upon which has been cared ribbon and laurel garlands in full relief, with rosette accents.  The trim down each side's full length, as well as the cross piece between the panel and the generous beveled mirror below are carved with laurel motif with a subtle rounded form.  The richness of the sumptuous French walnut only adds to the overall allure.
