Antique Framed Oil Painting on Canvas signed Rainbo depicts the interior of a cathedral, most likely the most prominent church in the city.  The artist has used a superb sense of perspective to immerse the viewer into the scene.  Note the intricacies of individual chairs as opposed to bench pews, the arched colonnades and massive column supports, and the stained glass in the background.  Obviously influenced by the impressionist movement, the artist has used bold strokes of the brush and subtle color variations to achieve the visual effects.  Such works were usually given as gifts to clergy or church elders.  Survives in its original frame.
