Antique Framed Oil Painting on Canvas dated 1930 is a splendid pastoral of a late fall view in an old-growth northern European forest.  The combination of deciduous trees in the foreground with conifers in the background is intriguing, as is the dry creek bed beckoning the viewer into the scene.  The artist has signed the work dated 1930, but we were unable to accurately identify the name.  Regardless, the work is superb, with a broad palette of earth tones in a sublime naturalistic setting that invokes an awe of nature while at the same time creating a peaceful effect.  An excellent choice for providing color and visual interest for any wall!  Survives in its original frame.
