Antique Framed Oil Painting on Canvas by Leon de Fechereux (1884-1941) is an intense post-impressionist work of a charming cottage in Pommiers in northern France in the Pas de Calais and Arras regions.  The name literally translates to "apples" for which the region is so well known.  Here we see an apple tree in full bloom during springtime with the hint of showers on the way above the hazy mountains in the distance.  The dirt road invites the viewer into the scene, whereupon one can go around to the back, or knock on the front door.  Note the artist's exquisite palette and use of shadows to indicate an early morning scene.  Survives in its original frame.
