Antique Italian Baroque Carved Giltwood Wall Mirror is yet another example of the craftsmanship and artistry from the peninsula of Italy, renowned for millennia for such designs.  The entire frame is carved from solid wood, then given a silvered gold finish which has achieved a lovely patina.  Motifs include stylized heraldic crests on each corner, connected with shell and foliates that are openly carved to create an airy effect all around.
