Antique Italian Baroque Giltwood Wall Mirror represents the essence of the style born of the creative minds of Italian master artisans during the early 17th century, and which developed into the inspiration for many style iterations in the ensuing centuries.  Here we see an elaborate shield form serving as the basis for the design, which has been festooned with exuberant foliate and shell accents blending with floral swags and powerful yet graceful scrolled features.  The ornamentation is continuous, starting at the tip of the crest above to the shell at the very bottom.  The reflective mirror has been cut to follow the complex contours of the frame, with the mirror glass being replaced at some point in the last few decades, allowing one to enjoy this wonderful accent for decades more to come!
