Antique French Louis XVI Carved Walnut Mantel Mirror represents the essence of the neoclassical revival style.  The design features a stately architecture enhanced by a boldly molded and arched crown upon which has been carved floral sprays with ribbon in fine relief, accented by rectangular rosettes with a step-front center section.  The mirror below is flanked by tailored pilasters serving as the side edges, each adorned with a simple floral and foliate spray both above and below, with extra molding immediately surrounding the mirror, sized perfectly for above the mantel, a high buffet, or over a cased opening.  The richness of the exquisite French walnut creates a splendid visual presence which only adds to the overall effect.
