Grand 19th Century French Renaissance Mirror is more than just a mirror, it's a work of art!  The sculptor who created it was truly talented, and worked in bold full relief to capture the essence of the bounty of nature in the framework from one side to the other.  A bold acanthus scrollwork provides the corner base from which the carvings emanate, with luxuriant scrolls continuing up each side accented with bounty-of-the-earth represented by various fruits, continuing all the way up and around the rounded upper corners.  The bold acanthus flourishes then expand across the crown to reach a peak at the center, which is dominated by an heraldic crest carved with peaches, a cluster of grapes, and foliage in bold relief.  Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
