Antique Country French Louis XVI Carved Mirror in Stripped Oak features a splendid frame hand-sculpted from solid old-growth oak in an amazing rendition of naturalistic beauty!  The double-arched crown is formed from scrollworks that terminate in acanthus leaf fronds, with floral sprays enhancing the fronds and also appearing mid-way into the scroll.  The crown is an artistically sculpted basket bursting with a floral bouquet depicting amazing realism in its display..  Moving down the oaken frame appear even more spectacular floral sprays ~ three on each side, with the framework consisting of fine molding down to the bottom and across its full width.  The mirror is tall enough for floor placement, but was originally intended for over the mantel or a fine buffet, providing exquisite decorative appeal as well as a lovely reflection of your room, amplifying the ambient lighting. Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
