19th Century French Louis XVI Gilded Mirror represents the epitome of Belle Epoque grandeur yet possesses a subtle elegance that truly transcends time itself!  The gracefully arched crown is lavished with flaming urn finials on each corner, framing the centerpiece which is an elaborate depiction of a winged cherub encircled by a floral wreath and resting on the torchere and carquois de fleche, symbols of French power.  The entire affair is positioned above an incredibly detailed floral garland that flows down to the aforementioned flaming urns.  The framework for the generously sized mirror is meticulously molded all around including the base, allowing this mirror to be placed above a mantel, buffet or console, or to be free-hung ~ even placed on the floor if so desired!  Truly a decorative accent that speaks to thousands of years of classical style!
