Pair 19th Century Wrought Iron & Brass Andirons feature a graceful scrolled motif reminiscent of a treble clef, accented with rosettes.  Brass round finials top off the work.  Such andirons served to visually enhance the fireplace which was such a central focus of attention, especially to northern Europeans, but not always the most attractive part of the room.
