Grand 19th Century Rustic French Elm Farm Table is a lasting testament to the rural craftsman, who utilized indigenous materials to create sturdy furniture to last for generations. Mortise & tenon joinery are the rule here, with sycamore being used for the legs and apron and hard-wearing solid elm planks for the top. Such tables performed many functions in the home, not just for dining, and were indispensable to everyday life, especially for large farm families. This example has been painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.
