Antique French Empire Mahogany Draw Leaf Dining Table with Bronze Mounts exudes elegance, and is extraordinarily versatile with two leaves that are always there when you need them, that draw out in an instant when more seating accommodation is required. Hand-crafted from fine imported mahogany, it features mitered corners so there are no sharp ends in the traffic pattern of the room. The leaves also sport the same miters, and draw out with ease when needed. Although the table has 26" of knee clearance, the leaves have no apron so if you have really tall diners at the table, they can sit at the leaf. The four legs are the most dramatic feature, adorned with cast ormolu mounts featuring Greco-Romanesque busts of maidens over a anthemion foliate design with lions' paws feet and a pediment below with upturned anthemion motif all around, all cast in solid bronze. Legs are strengthened with diagonal stretchers that meet in the middle to allow for maximum foot room below while providing extra stability for longevity.
