19th Century Rustic Italian Dining Table was lovingly hand-crafted from dense, old-growth oak to last for centuries!  The top is solid, thick planks of wood dovetailed to join the two support structures, which consist of sturdy oak cut into lyre shapes and connected with hand-forged wrought iron stretchers that connect the base of the supports to the center of the underside of the table.  This tried and true method has been used for centuries in southern Europe, and persists even today.  Generous overhangs on all four sides ensure comfort for all who enjoy the table.  The design also makes an apron unnecessary, providing maximum knee room.
