19th Century Grand Rustic Country French Banquet Table was hand-crafted by talented artisans using indigenous old-growth maple to produce a table that will literally last for generations! Five thick planks were tongue-and-grooved together to form the sturdy top, and are supported by an apron all around that includes a cutlery drawer at one end for sheer convenience. The apron sections are affixed to the four solid, tapered legs via pegged mortise & tenon joinery, exhibiting techniques that date back centuries that were handed down from generation to generation. Even with the full apron, the table affords 24 inches of knee clearance, more than typical tables of this age. Most notable in the design is the sheer size ~ the table stretches just under nine feet in length making it ideal for larger families or those who like to entertain!
