Set of Six 19th Century French Renaissance Dining Chairs with Leather are of a classic and timeless design, with innovations and styling typical of French master craftsmanship!  Sculpted from select hardwood, each has been given a dark, polished finish that enhances the beauty of the wood work and carvings that permeate the design.  Atop the seatback appears a pair of lovebirds flanking an heraldic crest centered with an egg motif, with pierced foliates and vines intertwined into the design.  Grape leaves and fruit cascade directly below to flank the leather upholstery of the seatback, bringing the eye to the horizontal tier of scrolls, vines and grape leaves that span the width of the chair to join with the clockwise and counter-clockwise barley twist uprights.  The framework below the finely upholstered leather seat continues the barley twist theme, with rosettes on the plinth blocks, and a subtle splayed angle for added stability.  Perfect for the Old World effect!
